Weekend Coffee and Doughnuts
Recently, on a particularly grey Sunday, Laura had the bright idea to make homemade yeasted doughnuts. Not just any doughnuts though—these came with a browned butter caramel and were topped with a generous sprinkle of fleur de sel.
While she cut out shapes of dough and heated up the oil, I brewed us a French press of Stumptown and chased Iggy around the apartment.
Even though our doughnuts (and their accompanying holes) weren’t perfect in appearance by any means, it was an amazing start to a chilly weekend day—and they still tasted great. Hope your weekend is equally great!
