Inspired by her own lack of cooking skills, our friend Joanna from A Cup of Jo is putting together the most amazing basic food series.
Think how to make the best grilled cheese, chocolate ice cream, egg and cheese sandwich, and so on. Delicious, right?
For this week’s post, Luisa from the Wednesday Chef shared her incredibly simple, flavor-packed spaghetti sauce recipe (including a secret, very necessary ingredient).
Ryan and I were the lucky taste-testers and photographers for Joanna’s post and let me tell you: this sauce is good! I was skeptical as I was making it; you’ll see why when you see the ingredient list, but it packed a flavorful punch despite its ease. I’m already thinking about making it again.
Have I sold you yet? Here’s the super easy recipe for the best spaghetti sauce you will ever have.
Ryan and I have our own contribution to Joanna’s series coming up soon. We’re very excited about it and can’t wait to share it with you all!

It looks amazing! I will have to try it!
This looks tasty.
You inspired me to make pizza over the weekend. I posted it today on my tasty thursday. http://www.pamwares.blogspot.com
it is almost friday!
The look of that sauce stewing! It’s delicious and beautiful and *does the Italian chef kiss*. My dad just made a sauce last night that he slow-cooked using herbs and the heirloom tomatoes from his garden and the most wonderful olive oil. It turned out more like a chunky soup, BUT who cares when it tastes incredible, right?
Thanks for sharing!
