We ate a lot of really excellent food in Charleston, but without a doubt, one of our favorite meals came by way of Chef Sean Brock’s McCrady’s.
McCrady’s offered a prix fixe menu of four courses for $65.
The diner chooses a first course, a fish course, a meat course and a dessert, which thankfully satisfied my curiosity and want to try everything.
McCrady’s focuses on Southern and local ingredients, but prepares them in unique and unconventional ways. You may see grits or country ham on the menu, but the preparations will be unlike anything you’ve tried before.
The specifics of every dish from the night are hazy, but I think the pictures speak for themselves.
