From our first night in the Holy City, we were instantly entranced by how quiet it was.
Even though it was a Saturday, the residential streets around where we were staying were mostly deserted, giving us time to walk slowly and admire each and every home.
We did a lot of that over the next few days, but we also ate fried chicken at Bertha’s Kitchen in North Charleston, rode horses around Middleton Place, and ate the mostly heavenly tomato tarte tatin at FIG.
Thanks for a grand time, Charleston. We already can’t wait to return!
