We hope everyone had a happy and healthy Thanksgiving weekend!
Because seemingly everyone we know was going out of town this year, we kept it simple with just the three of us. We drank a little wine (none for Iggy!), had some cheese, played some music and watched football while preparing our meal.
We prepared a pheasant from D’Artagnan, rather than a turkey, and served it alongside a pumpkin salad with balsamic-quince dressing, duck-fat fried potatoes, maple-paprika Brussels sprouts, stuffing with pork sausage and cornbread and homemade “canned” cranberry sauce. Needless to say, it was a lot for two people and we were both stuffed.
I love how hectic and fast moving the holiday season can be. Right after Halloween, we were coming up with ideas for what to serve at the Thanksgiving table, and now we’ve already picked out and decorated our Christmas tree.
How was your Thanksgiving?

Looks amazing! Pumpkin salad sounds so intruiging!
