Last night we had our first snowfall in New York City, and instead of being stuck outside in the slush, we stayed warm and cozy inside. Luckily for us, we had just stocked up on some bottled festivities.
During the holidays, I always look forward to each year’s batch of winter beer offerings from some of my favorite breweries. I don’t often drink heavy beers, but when winter comes, they’re my first choice. I love sipping a nice, spiced ale while watching the snow fall—onto the football field on TV, of course.
This year has been no exception. In addition to being delicious, a lot of the bottles (and cans!) sport beautiful labels and artwork—you won’t be embarrassed to sip from one of these bottles at your Christmas dinner table. From the simplicity of Anchor Brewing’s Christmas tree label to the full-can artwork of the 21st Amendment Fireside Chat, the colorful bottles really evoke the spirit of the gift giving season. The Sly Fox Christmas Ale can even has a to- and from-label for stocking stuffers.
There are many more to try, but these are a few of our favorites so far this season. Have we missed any of your favorites?
